The Referees' Committee wish to encourage all Referees to aim at achieving an improvement in their performance level. To that end, the Committee is keen to support all aspiring Referees who wish to apply for advancement within the county promotion system.

A Level 7 Referee must serve a minimum of one complete Registration Period or 12 months in that classification, whichever is the shortest, before applying for promotion to Level 6. All new Level 7, Level 6 and Level 5 candidates must apply for promotion by completing the R5 Application for Promotion Form found above. Existing candidates who are not promoted will still need to apply each season.

Full details can be found in the Referee Regulations in section 7 of the County FA handbook
